It is huge! So it will cover your face from UV Rays but choose your hat color wisely!
I bought this hat because I have super sensitive skin and I wanted something I could wear anywhere I need to avoid sun rays.... like the beach or an outdoor event where I will be in the sun for a long time.
I wonder if I can use it while driving or maybe if I will be in the backseat of a car and the car does not have UV protected windows...I will have to try that out! ;)
Since I just got the hat, I have yet to use it so I have not tested it out...

This is a beautiful hat, well-made (as always, thank you San Diego Hat Company!) and is exactly as the picture shows--nice natural color! I would just note, know that you are purchase an extremely wide-brimmed hat--the brim is around 9.5" all the way around. If that's what you want--that's what you get!
